Description |
Trolley at the triangle during the 1930s. The trolleys came down Fort Lee Road to Glenwood Avenue and angled down Magnolia Place onto Broad Avenue. The marque "LEONIA" on the left was the movie theater which operated from 1927 until 1938, it then was turned into a roller skating rink until 1949. After sitting empty for some years the Borough purchased it for a recreation center which opened circa 1958. On the extreme right among the trees is the American Legion Hall. |
