Cheers -The Magazine of Good Taste was established by Henry Lankenau (1908-1998) in 1953 and was published from his home in Leonia for some 30 years. Lankenau not only served as Editor and Publisher, but he also provided all of the research, writing and illustrations. A full biography along with photographs are contained in envelope 17.

|Admin/Biographical History||In 1953 Henry Lankenau established CHEERS - the magazine of Good Taste, a monthly publication devoted to fine foods and fine dining. It was distributed by selecting outstanding restaurants in New Jersey and New York. Lankenau, working out of his Leonia home, not only served as editor and publisher, but provided all of the writing and illustrations. The archive has a collection of these magazines. Born in New York City Henry Lankenau attended the Art Students League and Cooper Union.|
